Today we passed through a couple of towns and really enjoyed the lack of traffic on the road - no smelly chicken trucks or logging trucks and only one dead bird. We walked by many churches, some farms, a huge cemetery, the site of Seminole Indian camp, and a few nice houses. There was also the bonus of a couple of miles of sidewalk outside of town leading to schools. The highlight was walking on the Ray Charles Highway into Greenville, Ray's birthplace, and taking photos with his statue in a park. No gas stations today so we had to stop on the road for our snack breaks.
Following your journey. Please tell Mary Kay hi from Barb and Bob. Good luck to all!
