After a great breakfast taco meal, we said goodbye to Peggy (Arch left too early) and headed out. After our first section of walking through more beautiful scenery and wild flowers, we passed by Washington on the Brazos State Park and decided to go and see the spot where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed in 1836. There was also an informative visitor center display and a trail to the Brazos River. After our second section we went to the Blue Bell Creamery. Their tour is supposed to be great, but they are not back in operation yet after the whole plant was shut down because of a listeria outbreak. They do have an ice cream shop and country store, so we had ice cream cups. The scoops were big and only $1, but it was not very good ice cream. Then we went to town and walked around the historic district.
